The Genesee Valley BOCES School of Practical Nursing Program is a 1200-clock-hour program, certified by the New York State Education Department, and is designed to prepare graduates for the NCLEX-PN Examination for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Our program takes just over 1 year to complete. Applicants may review the application information on this site and request any additional information from the Nursing Department.

• We are very proud of our successful job placement rate! The LPN Program has a 98 percent job placement rate after passing the NCLEX exam. 

We do weekly entrance exam testing (ATI TEAS tests) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You test at your own home- so you need a computer that has a camera and a microphone. The test is monitored by ATI.

Locations:

• Batavia: the upcoming Batavia class for October of 2024 is FULL.

• Rochester Tech Park in Gates: applications are currently being accepted for our Rochester based class that starts in May of 2025. **Application DEADLINE- ALL paperwork, testing and transcripts must be completed and turned in to us NO LATER than November 30, 2024. Starting December 1st –interviews will be scheduled with those who have already turned in the needed documentation and who have successfully met the minimum MATRIX requirements.

• Mount Morris: accepting applications *this location will be utilized when the required number of accepted applicants have been received.

Our upcoming LPN classes are Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Fridays are reserved for lab, remediation, and clinical overflow when needed.  Clinical times may vary with either day or evening hours.
