StarLab is a portable planetarium available for grades K-12. The StarLab may be borrowed at a daily rate with several cylinders to choose from to support NYS Standards of Learning in several sciences including astronomy, biology, geography, climatology, etc. The CoSer for this program is 406.030
Twenty-five to 30 students can fit into the StarLab, which can be set up in a classroom, cafeteria, or auditorium stage. It needs a space of 21’ x 21’ and at least 12’ in height without direct lights at the outside of the dome.
The StarLab provides a wonderful tool and learning environment but is also quite delicate. Instructors with StarLab training may set up and use the StarLab. An annual training/refresher course is included in the program cost.
